T. Boone Pickens has been dead on when predicting oil prices over the last several years. So what if he almost single handedly financed the Swift Boat Veterans against John Kerry boo-haaa. Now he’s saying that oil will hit $70 by the end of the year, and $100 sometime next summer. For those of you keeping track at home, that $4 gas for your SUVs and full sized trucks.

Here’s a link to an article written over year ago by a guy looking to prepare for the future after reading Kunstler’s The Long Emergency. The article does an excellent job by separating finance, energy efficiency, food production, etc… Unkown to me, I have taken on some of the same projects metnioned here and plan for others in the not too distant future.
